This project is intended to show the efficiency of the new jpeg2000 compression standard on medical images.

It let the user choose an image from his harddisk or from our database. Then, it compresses it on the server side and decompress it on the client side with the rate specified by the user.

This application uses the JJ2000 java implementation of the jpeg2000 standard which is available here.

Part of the medical images available in the database is provided by Telemis.
